All the lucrative IT jobs come from the govt sector but it won't even consider you if your company is just a 2-man show. The only small-time IT business people I know who are still surviving are those operating small PC repair shops in Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre and other broken-down malls where the rent is dirty-cheap.

For the small IT firms to go overseas is extremely expensive. The cost of the airfare, hotel and entertainment expenses alone would be equal to 2-3 months earnings for the firm! In these bad times, IT is not a viable business for small boys! Worse, the foreign big boys like IBM and HP are also trying to gobble up any available job in Singapore, no matter how small!
