Security innovations in Phidelity document printing

The Phidelity Optical Document Security Suite solves the "Copy Original" problem. Phidelity is a suite of security features that can be incorporated onto documents that are printed on plain paper using normal printers, without special ink or paper.

The security features are optical watermarks, transactional micro-print, secureCode, ID-Trace, and print control.

By embedding anti-forgery, anti-counterfeiting and accountability/traceability features onto the documents, Phidelity solves a number of problems revolving around the integrity of printed documents.
It also detects illegal duplication and tampering of the document, and builds accountability and trust to facilitate the collaboration among organisations.

Accolades worldwide

This innovation has led to a number of industry accolades, such as the 2008 Tomorrow’s Technology Today Award (Optical Document Security category) in June, awarded by the Silicon Valley-based Info Security Products Guide publication.

Phidelity was selected on the basis that its technology would make the most positive impact on security in today’s sophisticated and blended attacks environment.

“With rising issues of counterfeiting, forgery, and unauthorised disclosure of information, the award proves that Phidelity is a very relevant product, bridging the security gap in the digital-paper divide,” says RadianTrust’s general manager Tang Weng Sing.

The company also bagged another award for Phidelity: Best in Optical Document Security in the 2008 Best Products and Services Award by Network Products Guide, another Silicon Valley publication.
In the citation, Rake Narang, editor-n-chief, Network Products Guide, says: “Phidelity is bringing improvements and ease in document security by enabling ordinary printers to perform sophisticated tasks of automatically encoding paper documents.”

Nearer home, the product won the 2007 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards in the Security Category for RadianTrust.
