Feb 4, 2008: Singapore ICT firms face challenges when going overseas. The challenges include aggressive competition from neighbouring countries, lack of global reputation for high quality and innovation, difficulty in securing a foothold overseas because of limited capabilities and disparate marketing efforts, and different priorities and needs for different firms.

The solution is for ICT firms to join forces, says general manager Ng See Sing of Portal City, NCS Group, which manages the Infocomm Singapore Portal. See Sing’s message to the business executives present is the whole is greater than the individual parts.
