Untangle the corporate e-mail with Third Sight

Third Sight’s information management solution helps companies untangle their e-mail to gain insight into the workings of their own process, by tagging, annotating and mining their existing corporate email system.

Corporate e-mail is thus transformed from a mass of unstructured data into a powerful knowledge-management platform to support a more efficient knowledge workforce.

Third Sight thus revolutionises corporate knowledge management by going beyond e-mail content, to recognise the inter-relationships within and across them.

The INSIGHT server incorporates a number of innovative features:

● It supports configuration for optional filing, mandatory filing and an upcoming version for rule-based filing. These can be configured without any modifications to existing Lotus Notes or Microsoft Outlook e-mail clients.

● It allows tagging of e-mails as they are being sent. Once an e-mail has been tagged, the system remembers and auto-files all future replies and forwards into the same folders. Hence, user can essentially “file and forget”.

● It provides for context-mining. Each e-mail file is scanned and the technology is applied to mine the contexts of the e-mail, including its social network, document histories, keyword patterns, etc. Not only is the email captured but the context is automatically analysed as well.

● Tagged e-mails are automatically annotated with links to the project workspaces to which it has been filed.

● Workflow tasks are embedded into normal e-mail for auto-task tracking. These include setting a task due-date, with auto reminders before due date and even options to auto-request periodic status updates.

● There is also integration with third-party products. A connector for Microsoft Project 2003 allows project managers to automate the task of getting project status updates from members, with status updates be automatically rolled into the project Gantt Chart.
