Ecquaria

Ecquaria provides solutions in Web Services software infrastructure that enable organisations to quickly develop, deploy and manage scalable, cross-platform and integrated services. It also provides e-commerce and e-government solutions built on Java and XML technologies. The main products of Ecquaria are the ecBeans™ and Service Oriented Platform™ (“SOP”) suites of adaptable business components and applications.

In March 2005, Ecquaria secured a major project in Brunei Darussalam. The deal was primed under the IDA-SUN ASEAN Java Competency Programme (AJCP). Ecquaria is part of a consortium commissioned by MinCom to design and deploy a centralized eGovernment platform that the Government agencies and their appointed vendors could develop on and roll out robust Web Services rapidly, efficiently and securely for use by the public. Under the agreement, Ecquaria is to build an Integrated Service Portal for the Ministry of Communications (MinCom) of Brunei Darussalam using its flagship product, Service-Oriented Platform (SOP).

Ecquaria's SOPT will be used to power MinCom's ministry-wide intranet, an integrated Service Portal that will host public information of all the agencies of MinCom. In addition, a new electronic billing system and other eServices will be developed for the Portal using Ecquaria SOP. The new portal solution with built-in single sign-on authentication is specifically designed to address the security and availability needs of MinCom's Data Centre and Disaster Recovery Centres in addition to streamlining information and eServices catered to the different needs of its users - internal users as well as citizens and businesses.

Focusing on the ASEAN market, Ecquaria is already involved in the e-ASEAN Task Force which endorsed Ecquaria’s proposal for a Service Access Platform which will allow any organization within an ASEAN country to build and launch customer-centric services that could be made available to other ASEAN countries and the world.
