Feel the adrenaline racing into the night

 

November 2008: The adrenaline of Formula One racing was captured in the intro video clip of SingTel’s F1 Web site, “Race into the Night” (see screen capture above).

The 30-second 3D animated introduction won the Bronze award at the Phoenix Awards 2008, given out by AdAsia, the major publication for the advertising and marketing industry. It was the only winner in the Online Commercial category.

The award recognised the creativity and professional skills in the production of commercial films, video and digital images for advertising and promotion.
According to SingTel, the clip, produced by Digital Crayon, was completely modelled and rendered in 3D and follows an F1 car racing through the circuit and passing Singapore landmarks, such as the Esplanade.

SingTel, as main sponsor of the Singapore F1 race in September, has provided both online and infrastructure support for the event. It laid more than 1,000 PhoneNet lines and its subsidiary NCS also set up a network for Internet access at the media centre to serve more than 600 international journalists and media personnel.
