GridAsia 2008 is an annual regional event which targets a spectrum of audience, from the interested individuals, practitioners and user organizations in industry to the research and development community. It continues to be an exciting major event for the region. It brings together researcher and practitioners and industry users in Grid Computing.

The highlights of the event comprise several tracks, including Enterprise Adoption of Commercial Grid Service Providers, Grids for Digital Media, Grids for Life Sciences, Grids for Financial Services, Cloud Computing, Software-as-a-Service as well as International Collaboration such as Grids Around Asia, PC Grids in Asia, EUAsiaGrid, and the HPC Leadership Forum.

This year, the Open Grid Forum (OGF) will be co-located with GridAsia 2008 for the first time in Singapore. OGF is the international community dedicated to accelerating gird adoption to enable business value and scientific discovery by providing an open forum for grid innovation.

This annual mega-event promised to be an exciting one. There will be many opportunities to interact with colleagues from the local industry players and the international communities.
