Winners of inaugural SiTF Awards 2009

September 2009: A total of 117 nominations from 66 organisations were received by the Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) for its inaugural SiTF Awards 2009.
The awards are given for the most innovative ICT solutions developed in Singapore by multinational companies, local ICT companies, start-ups and students.
The winners and their winning projects are:
- PGK Media – ADME Network & Wish Singapore (Open Category, see picture below)
- KAI Square – Juzz4Logistics (infocomm Local Enterprise Category)
- XMI – X-Mini II & Max II (Start-up Category)
- Temasek Polytechnic – SmartShop (Student Category – Tertiary)
- Immigration & Checkpoints Authority – Integrated Visitor Management Programme (End-user Category – Government)

Merit awards were presented to:
- Quantum Inventions – Traffic Information Platform & QI Navigator (infocomm Local Enterprise Category)
- Nanyang Technological University – Hibernater (Student Category – Tertiary)
- Raffles Institution – Digital Wave (Student Category – Secondary)
- River Valley High School – Mixed Reality Campuses (Student Category – Secondary)
- Health Promotion Board – Healthcare Bundle (End User Category – Government)
- nstitute of Mental Health – ROC-N-ASH (End User Category – Private)
“The award categories in this year’s awards cover the spectrum of infocomm influencers, from multinational companies, infocomm Local Enterprises, start-ups and students to end-user organisations,” says Ms Tan Yen Yen, chairman of SiTF.
“Start-up and student categories were included to illustrate the vibrancy of the Singapore ICT scene, and to recognise the research and development efforts of our youth and entrepreneurs,” she adds.
The winners will represent Singapore at the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards, which showcases innovation, creativity and excellence in ICT in Asia-Pacific. Finalists are also encouraged to participate in this competition which will be held in Melbourne, Australia in December 2009.
All finalists of the SiTF Awards will also have the opportunity to be selected to participate in the World Summit Awards, a global initiative to select and promote the world's best e-Content and innovative ICT applications.
Over 200 industry leaders and guests attended the SiTF presentation ceremony on Friday, 25th September at the Fusionopolis. Guest-of-honour was Ms Yong Ying-I, Chairman of IDA. VIP guests include Mr John Lenders, Treasurer, Minister for ICT & Minister for Financial Services, Victoria State Government; RADM(NS) Ronnie Tay, CEO of IDA; and Mr Michael Yap, Deputy CEO of MDA.
